How Can He Stand For The Truth
When He Won't Let His Own Priests Teach It?

It's not like we didn't see it coming:  The Diocese of El Paso is transferring its only priest with a normal testosterone level, Father Michael Rodriguez.  We cannot presume to know the entire reason for this transfer, but the two most likely explanations are that the diocese is

A)  punishing him for his outspoken defense of the family against homosexual indoctrination

OR

B)  are afraid of losing their tax-exempt status.

It's probably both, but Bishop Ochoa has already admitted "B" in a news release:

"(Father) Rodriguez has recently challenged certain city officials to participate with him in a partisan debate on issues related to an upcoming election...This type of intervention in the political in the political process by religious organizations such as the Diocese of El Paso and San Juan Bautista Church is not permitted under Section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code."

So there you have it.  The Church castrated.

Seriously, if Catholic priests are not allowed to preach the truth, what ARE they supposed to teach?  Better techniques for success in the workplace through prayer?

Every major civil rights advancement in American history was made because of RELIGIOUS CONVICTIONS AND THE PREACHERS WHO SPREAD THE MESSAGE.  If this was not the case, half of the country would be feeding its slaves today.

We live in a time that religion is swept under the rug as something "personal", exclusively "between me and God" and we have been hoodwinked into believing that we are not permitted to share our convictions.  This has been further exacerbated by too many cowardly administrators who tremble at the very threat of losing their tax exemption.  We can only reply:

No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
-Luke 16:13

Father Rodriguez did not endorse any candidate.  He simply spoke with clarity, courage and conviction about the truths of his faith and the truths of natural law.  Homosexuals have been invoking the mantle of "civil rights" to advance their distorted notion of marriage for many years and Rodriguez was able to neutralize such arguments in a respectful manner.

So where will Father Rodriguez be exiled?  In typical lockdown fashion, the diocese will not yet say.  So it would be useful to quote the scriptures one more time for the leaders of the southwest's cabal of cowardly Catholics:

Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but upon a candlestick, that it may shine to all that are in the house.

-Matthew 5:15

Father Rodriguez is a light in El Paso and his light shines all the brighter because of the contrast it creates with the other priests who grudgingly confess the truth if asked, but shun its public proclamation.  It would be a shame to keep this good priest under a bushel for very long.

  2. So when a priest says the same thing that is coming from the Vatican, he gets suspended. Oh, Brave New World.
